How to use Motion 3.20
Motion 3.20 is easy to install and use. After you purchase the extension from the Mt. Mograph website or Gumroad, you will receive a zip file that contains the Motion 3.20.jsxbin file and a User Guide.pdf file. To install the extension, simply copy the Motion 3.20.jsxbin file to your After Effects Scripts folder and restart After Effects. You can then access Motion 3.20 from the Window menu or by pressing Ctrl+Alt+M (Windows) or Cmd+Option+M (Mac).
Once you open Motion 3.20, you will see a sleek and modern interface that consists of four main sections: the Curve Graph, the Easing Sliders, the Toolbox, and the Color Wheel. You can also access the User Library and the Focus feature from the top menu bar.
The Curve Graph is where you can adjust the speed and velocity of your animations with precision and ease. You can select any keyframe or multiple keyframes and drag them on the graph to change their values. You can also use the handles to modify the curves and create smooth transitions. You can switch between different views of the graph, such as Speed vs Time, Value vs Time, or Speed vs Value. You can also zoom in and out of the graph with your mouse wheel or by using the buttons on the bottom right corner.
The Easing Sliders are where you can apply different types of easing to your keyframes with a simple drag of a slider. You can choose from various presets, such as Linear, Ease In, Ease Out, Ease In Out, Bounce, Elastic, or Back. You can also customize your own easing by adjusting the parameters of each preset. You can preview the easing on the graph or on your composition window.
The Toolbox is where you can access more than 50 tools and custom effect controls to enhance your animations. You can apply various effects, such as Blur, Glow, Distort, Noise, or Glitch, to your layers with a single click. You can also use the Anchor tool to quickly change the anchor point of your layers, the Align tool to align your layers to different positions, the Distribute tool to evenly space your layers, or the Parent tool to parent your layers to a null object. You can also use the Expression tool to add or remove expressions from your keyframes, the Loop tool to loop your animations, or the Snap tool to snap your keyframes to the nearest frame. You can customize the settings of each tool and effect by using the Effect Controls panel.
The Color Wheel is where you can work with the whole color spectrum and import your own color palettes. You can use the Eyedropper tool to pick any color from your composition window or from an external source. You can also use the HSB sliders to adjust the hue, saturation, and brightness of your colors. You can save your colors to the Palette Library and access them anytime. You can also import your own .ASE files from Adobe Color or other sources and use them in your projects.
The User Library is where you can save and reuse your favorite presets and expressions. You can create your own categories and subcategories and drag and drop any keyframe or layer to the library. You can also rename, edit, or delete any item in the library. You can apply any preset or expression from the library to your layers by double-clicking on them or by using the Apply button.
The Focus feature is where you can create custom groups to isolate and manage your layers. You can select any layer or multiple layers and create a group with a name and a color. You can then select, shy, lock, grab, or hide any group with a single click. You can also use the Focus button to solo out any group and focus on it without distractions. 061ffe29dd
